"My experience with this agency was deeply disappointing. From the very beginning, I felt I was not given the same opportunities as another buyer. I expressed my interest in the property and was informed that I could not submit an offer before viewing it. I even tried to arrange an earlier viewing, but that opportunity was never given to me. Later, however, I was informed that another buyer had already submitted an offer before viewing the property and only needed to complete the visit before making a final decision. I was also informed that the competing offer was lower than mine. Despite this, I was never given the opportunity to review or adjust my offer, while the other buyer was apparently able to do so. As a result, I lost the opportunity to compete for the property under what I considered equal conditions. I fully respect the owner's right to choose whichever buyer they prefer. My concern is not the final decision itself, but the way the process was handled: inconsistent communication, lack of transparency, and what appeared to be different standards being applied to different buyers. I also found it concerning that information clearly communicated to me over the phone was later described as a simple "misunderstanding". I specifically asked not to continue investing my time and resources in pursuing this property if it was already at an advanced stage with another buyer. I was left with the impression that the outcome of the process had largely been determined before all interested parties were given the same opportunity to present or revise their offers. As any buyer would, I expected a fair, transparent, and professional process. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. As a business owner myself, I also find it unfortunate when a sales process is handled in a way that may not fully serve the interests of the property owner, potentially limiting competition between buyers and the opportunity to obtain the strongest possible offers. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this agency. ******UPDATE TO THEIR REPLY***** The agency's response states that the owner's acceptance of another proposal had already occurred and that only the buyer's visit was pending. This differs from the information communicated to me at the time. I specifically asked whether the property was already reserved, whether an offer had already been accepted, or whether the property was effectively committed to another buyer. I was informed by agent Letícia that it was not reserved, that the initial information provided to me had been a misunderstanding, and that nothing had yet been confirmed or accepted. I was told that the owner would make a decision only after all offers had been submitted and even encouraged me to compose a good e-mail with personal touch of why I am choosing this appartment. Furthermore, my offer was higher . I later learned that the other buyer was given the opportunity to adjust his offer, while I was never contacted to determine whether I wished to revise mine. The agency's response also states that the other buyer obtained the owner's acceptance before carrying out a physical visit. If that possibility existed, it remains unclear why the same opportunity was not made available to all interested buyers. The public response therefore presents a version of events that is different with the information communicated to me during the process. These inconsistencies are the reason for my concerns regarding transparency, equal treatment of interested buyers, and professional communication. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have encountered such practices within the real estate sector. Clients invest significant time, effort, travel arrangements, and resources, and they deserve clear, accurate, and consistent information throughout the entire process. And no, they do not feel sorry. Rather than acknowledging the communication failures that occurred, the agency has chosen to defend its position by presenting a narrative that contradicts what I was repeatedly told during the process."
